Its rectilinear design effectively minimizes distortion, making it ideal for a variety of applications. With a bright f/2 maximum aperture, this lens excels in astrophotography and low-light conditions, while also enabling shallow depth of field imagery when paired with its close 5.9" minimum focusing distance. Featuring three extra-low dispersion elements and two aspherical elements, it effectively controls chromatic and spherical aberrations for superior sharpness, clarity, and minimal color fringing. The lens is further enhanced with a Frog Eye Coating to repel dust and moisture, ensuring durability in challenging environmental conditions. Additionally, its manual aperture ring can be de-clicked for smooth, silent adjustments suitable for video recording, and the lens front is threaded to accommodate 72mm screw-in filters, adding versatility to its functionality.
