The ProMaster Key Grip Video Head is a compact, sophisticated video head featuring a unique extendable control handle with integrated hex key storage, ensuring you're never without essential tools. It provides smooth pan and tilt adjustments, with a soft, comfortable grip on the removable, extendable handle that locks in place with a twist. The handle's aluminum cap conceals two 4mm hex keys for tripod leg adjustments and securing the quick release plate, as well as a 2.5mm hex key for mounting the head to a tripod or monopod. This two-way head allows separate panning and tilt movements with etched scales for precise adjustments, and the tilt mechanism offers tension control for smooth motion. Silver touch points help quickly identify the control knobs, and it's rated for cold-weather use down to -4°F / -20°C. The included 3398 Dovetail (arca-type) Quick Release Plate comes with ¼"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting bolts, usable with either a flathead screwdriver or one of the 4mm hex keys. The plate features a removable anti-twist pin, measures over 101mm long for proper camera rig balancing, and includes a scale for quick setup replication. The QR platform can be repositioned from front-to-back to side-to-side for versatile mounting options, ideal for cameras with cages or L-brackets. Designed with a safety bolt to prevent accidental sliding, the Dovetail connection is compatible with plates and accessories from various brands. With a 6.6 lbs load capacity, this video head is perfect for mirrorless video rigs, telephoto lenses with Dovetail tripod collars, and wildlife photography.
