NEW AF MODE: ACTION PRIORITY

Action priority can recognize and track specific people and takes into account ball tracking, movement tracking, People Priority, eye-control AF, and more to help. Currently available for soccer, volleyball, and basketball.

GET CINEMATIC

RAW video can now be recorded at 8K resolution, with an S-RAW setting available for 4K RAW video recording. RAW video is captured in 12-bit, offering a greater range of tonalities. For users not requiring RAW video, MP4-type video can be recorded in various file types and resolutions: Full HD at up to 240 frames per second, 4K at up to 120 frames per second with sound, and 8K at up to 60 frames per second.

IMPROVED DATA STORAGE

With its 45 Megapixel sensor, 8K video up to 60 frames per second can be recorded internally, to the camera’s CFexpress card.

EASY TO NAVIGATE

Menus now utilize Cinema EOS terminology, simplifying the integration of the R5 Mark II with Cinema EOS cameras such as the EOS C400 for advanced video users.

ENHANCED DETAIL

All "Fine" options record oversampled video, enhancing sharpness and detail. Canon Log 2 and C-Log 3 are available. Additionally, the R5 Mark II includes new features such as a full-size HDMI port, waveform monitors, and up to 24-bit, 4-channel audio recording.

CLEAR IMAGERY

The roll operation range is now approximately double that of the EOS R3. When paired with a compatible lens, the CMOS sensor effectively reduces blurring both at the periphery and the center of the image.
