    The XCD 2,5/55V standard lens provides a perspective that is comparable to that of the human eye and is equivalent to a full-frame lens with a focal length of 43mm. This lens is excellent for full- or half-length portraits, documentary, still life, and everyday photography due to its perspective and soft bokeh produced by the large f/2.5 aperture. On bright light sources, the Hasselblad eight-point starburst effect can be produced by using the XCD 2,5/55V lens's narrow aperture and leaf shutter blades. Despite having a lightweight and compact optical design, an optimized leaf shutter, and a small and lightweight focusing module, the XCD 2,5/55V delivers exceptional optical performance.

    The lens is the first step in capturing the most minute details of shadow and light. It is only able to serve as a solid foundation for imaging if it has excellent color reproduction and resolution. Due to the large area and high pixel density of a medium format sensor, the lens's precision is very important. After selecting high-quality glass, Hasselblad engineers meticulously grind each lens to perfection in order to meet the 100 million-pixel resolution requirement.

    Hasselblad's medium format system includes a potent component called the leaf shutter. The XCD 2,5/55V lens has a new leaf shutter that is smaller but still has the same precise performance as its predecessors. It is fast and quiet so that shooting is not disturbed. Additionally, this extremely small shutter can capture at speeds of up to 1/2000s of a second and synchronize flashes at all shutter speeds.

    Familiar Yet New

    The XCD 2,5/55V is a metal lens made with great care. It has a focus ring and a new control ring. A print of the Hasselblad "H" logo is delicately engraved on both rings. The design is a nod to the distinctive appearance of the HC/HCD lenses and was created with a precise 0.3mm drill bit. This new lens is both a nod to the past and a stand-alone, elegant statement, whether used with 907X or X-system cameras.

    Convenient and Intuitive

    To fully support and not hinder the creative process, the lens is designed to feel natural and easy to use. For a smooth and satisfying experience, the focus and control ring's tactile mechanics have been refined. The focus ring can be switched from AF to MF with just a push and pull, and the scale marks make it easy to see the focus distance and depth of field at a glance. Shooting can be made more convenient and effective by customizing the control ring to provide quick access to preferred functions.
