Perfect for Travel and Close-Distance Shooting

The XCD 2,5/38V low-distortion wide-angle lens has a focal length that is equivalent to a full-frame 30mm lens and can be used for landscape, street, and documentary photography. When shooting portraits, you can either use the soft bokeh effect of the large f/2.5 aperture to highlight the subject against the background or include more environmental details. On bright light sources, the eight-point starburst effect that Hasselblad is known for can be produced by using the XCD 2,5/38V lens, which features a narrow aperture and leaf shutter blades. The XCD 2,5/38V has a minimum focusing distance of only 30 cm, making it ideal for capturing food, products, and other still subjects. Despite having a lightweight and compact optical design, a compact focusing module, an optimized leaf shutter, and a 350g weight, the XCD 2,5/38V delivers exceptional optical performance.

Precision Optics

The lens is the first step in capturing the most minute details of shadow and light. It is only able to serve as a solid foundation for imaging if it has excellent color reproduction and resolution. Due to the large area and high pixel density of a medium format sensor, the lens's precision is very important. After selecting high-quality glass, Hasselblad engineers meticulously grind each lens to perfection in order to meet the 100 million-pixel resolution requirement.

Powerful and Professional

Hasselblad's medium format system includes a potent component called the leaf shutter. The XCD 2,5/38V lens has a new leaf shutter that is smaller but still has the same precise performance as its predecessors. It is fast and quiet so that shooting is not disturbed. Additionally, this extremely small shutter can capture at speeds of up to 1/1000 of a second and synchronize flashes at all shutter speeds.

Familiar Yet New

The XCD 2,5/38V is a metal lens made with great care. It has a focus ring and a new control ring. A print of the Hasselblad "H" logo is delicately engraved on both rings. The design is a nod to the distinctive appearance of the HC/HCD lenses and was created with a precise 0.3mm drill bit. This new lens is both a nod to the past and a stand-alone, elegant statement, whether used with 907X or X-system cameras.

Convenient and Intuitive

To fully support and not hinder the creative process, the lens is designed to feel natural and easy to use. For a smooth and satisfying experience, the focus and control ring's tactile mechanics have been refined. The focus ring can be switched from AF to MF with just a push and pull, and the scale marks make it easy to see the focus distance and depth of field at a glance. Shooting can be made more convenient and effective by customizing the control ring to provide quick access to preferred functions.
