  • Extended Red Sensitivity to 740nm
  • Infrared Appearance with Deep Red Filter
  • Wide Exposure Latitude and Tonal Range

Ilford SFX 200 Black and White Negative Film

Ilford SFX 200 is a distinctive black-and-white negative film with extended red sensitivity, peaking at 720nm and reaching up to 740nm when paired with a deep red filter for infrared-like effects. With a nominal sensitivity of ISO 200/24°, it offers a broad exposure latitude and tonal range, making it ideal for fine art and pictorial photography. While it provides full panchromatic sensitivity without filtration, using yellow, orange, or red filters—especially deep red—dramatically darkens skies and renders vegetation in striking white, creating bold, surreal images.
