This new sensor offers faster readout speeds compared to previous EOS models and, thanks to its advanced architecture, increases light-capturing efficiency. The result is improved sensitivity and enhanced 4K image quality through 6K oversampling, delivering sharper, more detailed visuals than front-illuminated CMOS sensors.
Triple Base ISO (800, 3200 and 12,800) The EOS C80’s full-frame 6K back-illuminated stacked sensor features triple-base ISO, enabling stunning imagery across various lighting conditions. With base ISOs of 800, 3200, and 12,800, you can fully maximize the sensor's dynamic range whether shooting in bright or low-light environments.
	Dual SD Card Slots The EOS C80 comes equipped with dual SD card slots that support simultaneous recording and multiple recording modes, including backup or proxy file recording, different formats and resolutions, and relay recording for extended shoots. The slots are compatible with SD UHS-II, V90-class cards.
Dual Pixel CMOS AF II The EOS C80 features Canon’s next-generation Dual Pixel CMOS Autofocus, Dual Pixel CMOS AF II. Its back-illuminated stacked sensor enhances light-capturing efficiency, expanding the autofocus coverage across a larger area of the sensor.
	EOS iTR AF X (People Detection) Dual Pixel CMOS AF II delivers exceptional speed, precision, and wide autofocus coverage, utilizing the EOS Intelligent Tracking and Recognition (iTR AF X) algorithm, enhanced with deep learning technology. This system enables advanced detection of human subjects, not only tracking eyes, faces, and heads but also recognizing and following entire bodies with remarkable accuracy.
12G-SDI and a Variety of Interfaces The EOS C80 offers a wide range of interfaces, making it highly adaptable for various production needs. It features built-in 12G or 3G SDI and a second full-sized BNC output for Time Code, allowing secure, uncompressed video signal transfer. Additional interfaces include two three-pin mini-XLR audio inputs (INPUT 1 and INPUT 2), a 3.5mm stereo mini-jack Microphone terminal, a 2.5mm stereo mini-mini REMOTE terminal, and a full-size HDMI (Type A) output.
	Improved Body Design, Compact and Lightweight The EOS C80 features a compact mechanical ND filter assembly tailored for the RF mount's short flange back, with convenient buttons for direct ND filter control on the right-hand side of the camera. Offering up to ten stops of ND filtration, it enables users to shoot in diverse lighting conditions while adjusting exposure without compromising depth of field.
Mount Adapter PL-RF with Cooke/i Technology Compatibility The Mount Adapter PL-RF, new to the RF ecosystem, unlocks a broad assortment of PL mount lenses for Canon’s RF cameras. The adapter is compatible with Cooke/i Technology’s metadata protocol and includes lock plates to ensure a secure lens mount.
	Canon Multi-Camera Control App The EOS C80 is fully compatible with the Canon Multi-Camera Control App for iPhone, allowing operators to remotely control recording start/stop, focus, zoom, iris, ND filters, ISO, shutter, white balance, custom picture settings, and more, all while monitoring the live camera feed.
Remote Control Camera Application The EOS C80’s built-in Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity allows centralized control through the Remote Camera Control Application (RCCA), enabling simultaneous control of up to nine cameras for multi-camera operations. At a production or broadcast site, operators can select a camera from the "Connected Camera List" displayed in the application and control it via the "Camera Control Area" within the software's control panel. The included software can be installed immediately, eliminating the need for a hardware controller and simplifying one-person operation.
